Large damage
Go stud-to-stud for strength:
- Open the wall to center on studs.
- Install a full replacement panel section.
- Tape and float seams with paper or mesh.
- Texture match to the surrounding finish.
Texture matching tips
Most Utah homes are orange peel or light knockdown. Practice on a scrap first, keep nozzle distance consistent, and prime before judging the match. Texture is where most DIY attempts fail.
